Our purpose

Zylmark is a trademark search and preliminary screening platform operated by ZYL TECHNOLOGIES LLC. It was created to help people identify potential conflicts earlier, understand what their search results mean, and make better-informed decisions before they invest heavily in a name.

Our goal is straightforward: make early trademark research more understandable and affordable without pretending that automated searching replaces legal advice.

01Why we built Zylmark

Zylmark started with a real trademark headache. Our founder filed an application assuming the important conflicts had already been checked. One had not, and it took years of amendments, additional costs, and back and forth with the USPTO to finally get the trademark registered.

That process showed how easy it is to misjudge classes and scope at the beginning, and how expensive that mistake can become once a business is already committed to a name.

Zylmark exists so you can identify potential conflicts earlier, before years and money are spent trying to fix them.

Hence our tagline: Clear to Launch.

02What Zylmark helps you do

Zylmark brings several early-stage trademark research tasks into one guided workflow. Users can describe what they plan to sell, review suggested classes, search exact and generated name variations, and examine potential conflicts found in supported trademark records.

The Preliminary Registration Outlook summarizes potential conflicts found in supported USPTO records using Favorable, Mixed, or Caution. It is designed to help users understand where further review may be needed. It is not a prediction, legal opinion, guarantee, statistical probability, or USPTO decision.

For users who need a more organized review of supported USPTO findings, the Detailed USPTO Report is available separately. Broader searches and professional legal advice may still be appropriate depending on the importance of the name and the results found.

03Who Zylmark is for

Zylmark is designed for people who need a clearer starting point before filing or committing to a brand:

  • Founders and small businesses evaluating a new company, product, or service name.
  • Amazon and e-commerce sellers preparing a brand for launch or marketplace enrollment.
  • Branding and naming agencies screening proposed names for clients.
  • Small law firms and legal teams organizing preliminary research before deeper professional review.

04Principles that guide us

  • Affordability: Early research should be accessible before costs begin to accumulate.
  • Transparency: Users should be able to understand what was searched, what the results mean, and what the tool does not cover.
  • Accuracy: Results should be presented carefully, with clear links to the underlying trademark records and appropriate qualifications.
  • Ease of use: Trademark terminology and search steps should be explained in language a first-time founder can follow.

05Our vision

Our vision is to make early trademark research understandable and affordable, so more businesses can identify potential conflicts before they commit to a name.

We want founders, sellers, agencies, and smaller professional teams to spend less time navigating disconnected search systems and more time making informed decisions about the brands they are building.

Clear to launch does not mean promising that a trademark is legally clear or guaranteed to register. It expresses the decision Zylmark is built to support: research the mark before launch, understand the potential issues, and know when the next step requires deeper review.

06Responsible boundaries

Zylmark provides preliminary trademark searching, class suggestions, automated organization, and educational information. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent users before the USPTO or another trademark office.

No automated search can guarantee registration or identify every potentially relevant right. State trademark records, common-law use, business names, domains, marketplaces, and other sources may require separate investigation. Always consider advice from a qualified trademark attorney before filing or making a significant commercial investment in a name.
